Shadows

When shadows prevail

The sun fades

Street lamps light the path

Secrets become commoners of the streets

Stars greet the moon, the people rest

But the truth awakens from it's sleep

Everyone owns a shadow, or maybe two

Hot pursuit, by day or night, occasionally afternoons

Your mind no longer safeguards what is sacred

The public is privy to your reality, your character

Every transgression

Every malicious intention

Running away leads to sore muscles

The track void of an end to the madness, no point to hustle

In the day and under the lampost, shadows are forever

So what is darkness without light

Remember your shadow is in your image

So whatever is started, must be finished
